King Charles’ horse Desert Hero all set for St Leger glory after Goodwood win

King Charles III's horse, Desert Hero, has won the Gordon Stakes at Glorious Goodwood, leading his racing manager, John Warren, to consider entering him into racing's oldest classic, the English St Leger. The horse's success at Royal Ascot also increased his chances of running at the September 16 event. The monarch and his wife, Queen Camilla, have always been committed to supporting the British bloodstock industry, according to Warren. Meanwhile, the Nassau Stakes was upstaged by Al Husn, who beat a field that included last year's French Oaks champion, Nashwa, and this year's winner, Blue Rose Cen.
