Special Coronation coins for King Charles enter circulation in UK

The Royal Mint is releasing a 50p coin commemorating King Charles III's coronation on May 6. Around five million of the coins will be distributed to banks and Post Offices across the UK. Designed by Royal Mint Coin Designer Natasha Jenkins, the reverse side features London's Westminster Abbey, where the King was crowned, while the front showcases his portrait. A commemorative coin collection released earlier in the year has so far been bought by collectors in 89 countries. Queen Elizabeth II's coins will still remain legal tender and active in circulation.
